Oliver Thurley writes music that is quiet and disquieting.

He is interested in fragility in music, ceramics, once carried a harmonium over Ilkley Moor, and currently teaches at the University of Leeds, UK.

Oliver received the Kranichsteiner Musikpreis for composition at the Darmstadt Summer Courses 2018.
